Centric Parts Releases 7 New Technical Videos in Centric University Series
(Industry, Calif. - February 1, 2017) Centric Parts, North America’s leading manufacturer and supplier of OE and aftermarket brake and chassis components, announced today the release of seven new videos in the company’s Centric University technical series. This latest wave of videos covers brake friction, brake rotors and brake installation tips. They are available on the company’s website and YouTube channel.
StopTech Sport Brake Pads deliver superior braking performance for spirited street driving and occasional track day use. The StopTech Sport Friction formulas were developed in Centric’s in-house labs to provide ideal street and track characteristics…and tested in one of four in-house brake dynamometers for maximum performance and service life.
StopTech Sport Brake Pads combine the benefits of premium street brake pads with aggressive friction formulas suitable for track day and autocross use. Para-aramid composites are specially formulated to provide linear response at both cold and hot temperatures, delivering optimum stopping performance over a wide range of driving conditions.
StopTech Sport Brake Pads are manufactured using the same positive molding process utilized by Original Equipment suppliers. Positive molding uses extreme pressure to compress the friction material and bond it to the backing plate. This process assures consistent friction material density throughout the pad, resulting in even wear and performance characteristics throughout the life of the brake pad.
StopTech Sport pads are scorched; this additional process forces any impurities out of the friction material and pre-burnishes the pads to greatly accelerate the break-in process.
StopTech Sport Brake Pads comply to current brake friction material legislation. More information regarding these state mandates can be found here
